Judgment calls from this pass — tell me what to change.
App name — still "Italiano 14 Jours". Other spec options: "14-Day Italian Grammar", "Italian Sprint A1–B2".
Word bank is now 3,128 entries, tagged A1–B2 — B2 went 26 → 1,013 this pass (A1 532, A2 571, B1 1,012). All four levels are now past 500, with B1 and B2 past 1,000. Computed live from WORD_BANK.length and the Glossary's own per-level tab counts, so the numbers shown can never drift from reality. Still not claiming the ~4,000–5,000 CEFR B2 estimate — this is real, hand-checked content, not an extrapolation.
Fixed for real this time: Words & Phrases + Sentences now sum to exactly Mixed, at every level and every session-size setting — verified directly: at "cards per session" = 100 on Day 1 (A1), Words & Phrases gave 85, Sentences gave 15, Mixed gave 100. At "cards per session" = 40 on Day 8 (B1): 26 + 14 = 40. The split is proportional to how much content actually exists at that level, not a forced 50/50 — changing the slider changes all three numbers together, live.
Glossary is now linked directly from Home too (not just P/G and Cards) — alphabetized, level-badged (A1/A2/B1/B2), filterable, and showing translations only in whatever language(s) you've selected — confirmed switching to Italian-only hides Chinese/English there too, not just in the flashcards.
"Start Today" now opens the same three-option chooser as Cards (Words & Phrases / Sentences / Mixed), instead of jumping straight into the mixed session.
Word/phrase lookup is new in Cards — searches the local bank instantly; for anything not in it, it says so honestly (this preview has no network access at all) and still lets you hear it via TTS. A real dictionary API lookup is realistic in the native Android app, not in this sandboxed preview.
Mixed session now actually fills to your chosen size — it was capping at 22 regardless of the slider; it now tops up from the rest of that day's level so a 100-card request gets you close to 100 when the level has enough content (A1 does; B1/B2 currently have less, so it'll cap honestly at whatever's available there).
Cards is now a chooser — "Words & Phrases" (vocabulary cards, with one example sentence shown as secondary context) and "Sentences" (grammar examples only), both scoped to whatever level your current day falls in (Days 1–3=A1, 4–6=A2, 7–9=B1, 10–13=B2, 14=all levels mixed). The old mixed session is still there as a third option.
Home now shows mastery by level (A1/A2/B1/B2 bars, combining grammar + word mastery) instead of just one overall number.
Progress already survives updates — I redeploy to the same link each time, so your saved localStorage carries over automatically; I'm keeping every existing item ID stable as I add new content so nothing orphans.
Slides are one page per sentence now — the old "recognize then produce" 2-page format is gone, per your note. Every grammar point instead gives you several single-page sentences, one per real situation, so you learn the full range instead of one canonical example.
43 of 124 grammar points now have full tables — complete conjugations and grouped forms for articles, pronouns, comparisons, prepositions, and tense contrasts.
Real due-for-review — every "know"/"don't know" now sets a real next-due time (10 min if you didn't know it, 1–30 days on a rising scale if you did). Home's "due for review" count and the Review button are wired to it for real, not just decorative.
Cards per session is adjustable (Settings → 5–100, default 10) and instantly resizes what "Start Today" actually contains — it pulls due reviews first, then today's new grammar/words, capped at your chosen size.
"Learn this session again" is on every session-complete screen — replays the exact same content, and because mastery is stored per item, anything you now know will show a longer next-due interval than before.
Progress persists in this browser (localStorage) — survives a refresh, tied to Export/Import/Reset. Confirm that's a fair stand-in for the native app's on-device database before the real build.
Bottom nav set — now 6 tabs: Home / Day / Cards / Today / P·G / Settings. "Today" shows just today's grammar with a link down to the full pronunciation table; "P·G" is the same layout but unfiltered — all 124 grammar points, with a link to the full pronunciation table.
Word-to-day assignment — I mapped each of the 111 words to a specific day (days 1–3 by which grammar sentence they came from; the remaining pronunciation-table words spread evenly across days 4–14). It's a reasonable split, not a pedagogically-tuned one — say if particular words feel misplaced.
"Duolingo-style" organization — I read this as informing the interaction design (bite-sized single-page cards, immediate redo, visible progress) rather than a literal skill-tree/streak system. I haven't built streaks or a locked skill path — say if you actually want that on top of this.
